Christmas is my favorite time of year. It's when hearts become open and more receptive to joy, kindness, and love. Most people tend to put their guard down and are willing to let love flow in.

Take advantage of this time of year. If there is someone you have had a “falling out” with, take this opportunity to make things right. Go to that person with the Spirit of the Christmas Season and ask for forgiveness or forgive the person for their wrong doing. They will love you for it and you will have a much happier and more peaceful life.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:12-14

Jesus did not die so you could have a religion. Is that what is stopping you from accepting Him as your Savior? Are you afraid you will have so many laws to follow, you can't enjoy your life anymore?

You can't smoke. You can't drink. You can't dance. You can't play cards. You can't cuss. You can't go to movies. You can't ... You can't ... You can't ...W R O N G!!!

I don't advocate smoking, for instance, but I don't find anywhere in the Bible where it says, specifically, you are not allowed to smoke. This is the case with many "laws and rules" various religions have come up with. It is not my job to judge you if you do these things. It is between you and God. Don't perish in Hell just because you think you have to follow all those laws and you don't want to.

Just for the record, one thing the Bible is specific about is gluttony. Most people are overweight, including most Christians like myself. Admittedly, it is a battle I am constantly fighting everyday, but the Holy Spirit is right there in the battle with me. But it doesn't mean I can't have a relationship with Christ because I'm overweight. It doesn't me I won't go to heaven. You get my point?

You don't get to go to heaven because you follow all these laws. Jesus died so He could bridge the gap between God and man. He paid for your sins with His death so you could spend eternity in heaven.

Accept Christ as your Savior. His Holy Spirit will clean you up as time goes on and you develop an intimate relationship with Him. And I guarantee you that you'll LIKE it!!!

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truthand the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?
Luke 9:23-25

Are you feeling like no one is listening? Like you are alone? You've prayed and prayed but there seems to be no answer in sight. You feel like God isn't listening or that you aren't good enough for Him to show favor to you and answer your prayers.

As many people struggle with finances to pay their bills because they don't have a job, this is exactly how a lot of them feel. Or maybe you are battling with a health problem. There are so many conflicts and adversities we deal with.

FAITH is the answer. When all seems bleak and dark, like there is no hope in your life, grab onto that thread of faith and hold on tight.

God has promised us that He will supply all our needs and that He will take care of us. God does not lie. If you have asked Jesus into your heart, you are considered a child of God and these promises are for you. God's Word is Gold. You can absolutely count on His promises being for YOU.

Praise be to the Lord, who has given restto his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promiseshe gave through his servant Moses.
1 Kings 8:56

Choices

We all have choices to make. No one can force you to love God. It's a choice that only you can make. Whether you believe in Him, or not, He's alive and real.

You need to know how important this choice is for your eternal life. Have you ever wondered what will happen to you after you die? Do you think your existance just "ends"? Do you think your life on earth is all there is?

Take a minute to seriously think about it. When something gets you all excited or scared, what do you find yourself shouting? "Oh, God!" Now think about that a minute. It's not just words you are blurting out, but actually, it's your soul calling out to it's creator. Your soul KNOWS Where it came from and Who can help in times of need. This knowledge has been in you from birth.

Your soul knows that God is the All Powerful and the All Mighty. Satan wants this position. In his attempt to take over the position of Most High from God, God showed him who really has all the power by kicking him out of heaven.

God has allowed Satan to "rule" the earth for now. He is permitted to gather as many followers as he can, while he can. Satan knows that this will not go on forever, but that he and his followers will end by burning in hell. Sadly, Satan covers it up and tries to keep it hidden from you, blinding you from the Truth so that you will follow him. He is happily convincing people everyday that his way of life is more "fun".

Whether you believe in Satan, or not, He's alive and living here on earth and living in your life. The more you ignore him, the more successful he is in keeping you from choosing God.

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10: 9-10

This is a blog of posts meant to encourage you, give you strength and growth in Christ, give you boldness and courage to stand up against the enemies in your life, teach you to have a closer, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and give you peace. It is also here to answer questions you may have about what God has to say about things in His Word, the Bible. So feel free to ask me questions, and we will find the answers.

Christ wants you to live in His peace. He freely offers it to you. All you have to do is accept it. His Word is full of great and precious promises He has made to each one of us, including YOU. Learn these promises and Rest In His Peace.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27
